Heat Pumps

A heat pump system provides heat in the same manner that a central air conditioning system cools the air. Heat is drawn from the outside air and pumped through ducting in your home to keep you warm. Heat pumps are powered by electricity, and some include a booster electrical resistance heater that automatically supplements heat brought into the system from outside.

The three basic components of a heat pump system are:
1. An outdoor Heat Pump section.
2. A matching indoor Air Handler or Gas (natural or propane)
or Oil Furnace with coil.
3. Ductwork to transfer the heated or cooled air throughout the home.
